Palace luau photos; KS programs; Kahoolawe liabilities

Letter on the many educational outreach programs of Kamehameha Schools. (scroll down)

The AP reports on liability problems for the state over the island of Kahoolawe, the "Target Island" which was bombed for decades by the Navy. And the Maui News reports "Only two-thirds of Kahoolawe free of ordnance as Navy pulls out" in November.

The Maui News also has a good story on the revival of traditional architecture, and the graduation yesterday of the first class of certified hale builders.
