About

This blog is about Hawaii’s status as an independent country under prolonged illegal occupation by the United States, and the history, culture, law & politics of the islands.

And about East Maui kalo farming and other ahupua’a projects.

You can read my first post on this blog on August 9, 2003 for a bit more about who I am and why I started the blog. Except for a couple breaks of a couple months apiece, I’ve been going consistently since then with the same basic purpose.

In late 2009, after 3261 entries, I switched from my original platform to WordPress, but you can access the old version of the site including 7 years of archives by date.

The views I express on this site are my own personal opinions. Although I have worked with many various organizations and groups, this blog is my own personal endeavor, simply as a resident alien living in Hawai’i who cares about learning and sharing the true history—as best as I can figure it—of the land I have immigrated to (and of course the ancestral homeland of my lovely wife Kekula), offering my observations, passing along news and happenings, and hopefully inspiring others to become informed, make up your own minds, and take action accordingly.
